Survival The young are usually the most hunted by bobcats, coyotes, and mountain lions. To outrun their predators, they jump as high as 3 meters and as long as 9 meters in one bounce. They use agility, and also speed to get away from their predators as quick as possible. They have brown, soft fur to keep them warm during winter and also have antlers to protect them from predators. Deer have really good hearing, so they can hear a predator from 92 meters away. They stomp to warn others that there may be something dangerous nearby, and their white tails wag when they sense danger.
